When You Find Your Happy Space

What is meaning of being Happy? till the time I was aware of concept called “Sukha Stanam”

Happiness for me to have good home, good food, comforts, branded clothes, people around me who praises me, but…. still after having all these materialistic things, I was still not happy……Yeh Dil Maange More and what was that More ? don’t know.

Earlier with little disturbance, I quickly go for shopping, buy stuff which really don’t required, just fooling myself that I’ve power to purchase good stuff , get a new hair cut, thinking changing look will change my mood and give me feeling of freshness, learning photography, learning new courses, but all that were temporary sometimes doesn’t even last for a day or an hour.

this does;t ends here also I read a books of positivity, listen to motivational speakers talks on how to be positive and happy in life, practice affirmations, but also these was for a limited time period….. and I know now why all these was not working.

I really don’t know what I was searching for, and this continue for many years in my life until I started practicing and getting more involved into Pranayama.Though I was introduce to yoga from childhood but my knowledge was limited to Asana a physical exercise for weight lose and body toning.

Well, year 2020 was life changing for me it was a year of selfcare and awareness, where I started attending saturday live session of Dr. Ananda where he discussed and had showed some Pranayama of Gitananda Tradition. Getting more curious, started watching YouTube videos of Dr. Sir and started practicing . Slowly it got into my routine of doing it twice a day.

Was I doing for looking good, weight loss, or to gain something….. NO …. NO…

But still was loving to do it … why…..because I was experiencing feeling of happiness — - Sukha, Santosha that something I was missing in life.

This was my own Happy Space — A beautiful corner space designed not in my home, but designed in my sweet home within me. This was such a huge space, because it was space of Universe. Regular regular practice,I started and still experiencing new things, become more mindful conscious about my thoughts words and action each movement and day. I don’t required to read books on law of attractions, positive affirmations but affirmations automatic comes to my mind effortlessly after sadhana.

Pranayama Sadhana takes you to the journey where you connect to your own self,- a real you, peaceful being that’s your original identity. Who you are ? Whats your purpose of life ? your dharma , and that manifest your reality. A Space of quietness, stillness, no thoughts, state of inner peace and a sense of security to love and to be loved.

All the Pranayama of Gitananda traditions are based on mindful breathing and energies — specially Pranava, Savitri and Sukha Pranayama.

The beautiful part is we can carry and create our own happy space anywhere and everywhere. We don’t need to be dependent on materialistic things and people for our happiness.

I’m self sufficient and feel content with what I’ve and what I am.

My Gratitude and Pranam to Dr. Swami Gitananda , Ammaji and Dr. Ananda sir for teaching and sharing Pranayama Sadhana of our ancient tradition.

Pranayama Yoga is a light that sheds its light on darkness of ignorance, to the journey of mindfulness.
